ABOUT ME

MARK NOCITO

        I became interested in running at an early age as I enjoyed the feeling of sprinting away while being chased down in a game of tag or football.  However, I never knew there was a sport such as distance running until high school when I gave Cross Country a try and fell in love with it from the very start.  The love I gained for the sport led me to not only become an avid runner for years to come, but also led me to become a bit of a fitness guru.               

       Due to that love for fitness, I made the decision to go to college and pursue a degree in Exercise Science.  I first attended Bergen Community College, and while there I competed in Cross Country for two seasons and received Academic All-Region honors both seasons.  After, I transferred to Montclair State University to pursue my B.S and eventhough I decided to not compete for MSU, I continued to run competitively by entering various local road and track races around northern New Jersey.   During that time I also was as an Assistant Cross Country Coach at Montclair Kimberley Academy where I worked under Head Coach Tom Fleming, winner of the 1973 and 1975 New York City Marathons.

       After graduation, I went on to work as a Personal Trainer for a bit and then from there got into managing a Run Specialty Store.  As the years have gone by I have learned a lot in both my professional and running life, and now I want to use that knowledge to help other runners achieve their goals as an online coach. 

       

 

WHAT WE OFFER

      There are plenty of free online training plans that you could follow but none deliver specific personalization coupled with accountability.  At CoachFit Running we deliver a personalized training program made for you and backed by both exercise and running science.  We will check in through email communications at least twice a month and a phone call can be scheduled if desired. These check ins are done to see how workouts are going, and when necessary can help us make decisions on how to modify the training program.  Also, if you have any questions or concerns you can contact us anytime for help.

* The training assessment is a set of questions I will email you to gather information about you and your running history.  Some questions will also be asked upon registering into our VdotO2 profile.
